ALIA announces 2018 grant for Asia-Pacific Library and Information Conference

The Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) has announced it will award a grant to a current ALIA member to attend the Asia-Pacific Library and Information Conference this year.

The grant aims to ‘enable an ALIA member to experience the professional development and networking opportunities of attending a conference for the first time’.

The recipient of the grant will receive one full registration to attend the conference, which runs from 30 July to 2 August at the Gold Coast. However, the grant does not cover travel, accommodation or other costs. Current ALIA members who have not previously attended an ALIA conference are eligible for the grant.

The grant has been funded through a contribution from State Librarian of WA, Margaret Allen FALIA.
