Key dates for Lonely Planet’s distribution move to United Book Distributors
As previously announced Lonely Planet’s distribution centre, located in Bentleigh, Victoria, will close on Thursday, 30 August 2018 and all supply of Lonely Planet product will move to United Book Distributors (UBD) from Monday, 3 September 2018.
UBD will facilitate an end-to-end process for Lonely Planet including all order fulfillment, return authorisation and processing, debt reconciliation and customer service.
To assist in a smooth transition the tables below indicate the key Bentleigh cut-off and UBD commencement dates for orders and returns.

EDI
Customers that operate with PacStream ordering system will need to update their SAN number for all Lonely Planet product to UBD’s SAN on Friday, 31 August 2018.

Returns
Please note – UBD will not be able to accept return authorisations that contain a Lonely Planet authorisation number. By extension UBD cannot accept any stock sent to them containing a Lonely Planet returns authorisation number.
Therefore, to allow stores enough time to request urgent returns and send this stock back to Lonely Planet’s Bentleigh warehouse for processing, the last day for Lonely Planet granting authorisations will be Friday, 10 August 2018.
No need for concern though as UBD will commence authorisation of Lonely Planet returns from Monday, 3 September 2018.
All stock authorised for return by Lonely Planet and containing a Lonely Planet returns authorisation number must be returned to Lonely Planet’s Bentleigh warehouse by COB Thursday, 30 August 2018.
