Rights People to represent Affirm Press kids list

Affirm Press has engaged international agency Rights People to represent its kids list.

Affirm sales and marketing director Keiran Rogers says he is anticipating more international rights sales as a result of the agreement. ‘We’ve already made several international rights sales but that will grow with our new partnership,’ said Rogers. ‘I’m so pleased to be now able to also offer our authors the best in the game when it comes to international rights representation for kids’ books. The Rights People’s enthusiasm for our books nearly matched our own, and that’s saying something!’

Rights People sells directly to publishers in most territories, and has agents in London, Toronto, Seoul and New York.

Rights director Allison Hellegers said she was ‘immediately drawn to the energy and whimsy of the titles from Affirm Press Kids’, adding that the books received ‘a lovely reception’ at this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair.

‘The team has been wonderful to work with, and all of us at Rights People are looking forward to seeing future titles and getting their books published throughout the world,’ said Hellegers.

Affirm recently opened unsolicited submissions for junior, middle and YA fiction, and currently publishes around 20 children’s books each year.
