Walkley Book Award 2022 shortlist announced

The shortlist for this year’s Walkley Book Award has been announced.
The three shortlisted titles, chosen from a longlist of nine, are:
- Currowan (Bronwyn Adcock, Black Inc.)
- The Game: A portrait of Scott Morrison (Sean Kelly, Black Inc.)
- Indelible City (Louisa Lim, Text).
The Walkley Book Award ‘celebrates Australian writers who take enduring subjects from news, eyewitness accounts, investigations and history’ and whose books ‘bring readers immersive detail, clear analysis and new revelations’. The winner of last year’s award was The Winter Road by Kate Holden (Black Inc.).
The winner of this year’s prize will be announced as part of the 67th Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism on November 17.
