ABIAs add new categories

Three new categories have been added to the 2023 Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIA), which will take place in Sydney on 25 May.
In addition to the existing industry and book award categories, winners will be announced in the new categories of: commissioning editor/publisher of the year, marketing strategy of the year, and social impact book of the year.
The winner of last year’s ABIA book of the year was Diana Reid’s debut novel Love & Virtue (Ultimo). Books first published between 1 January and 31 December 2022 are eligible to be entered into the 2023 ABIAs. Nominations open today, 19 January.
