Smith Street Books is an indie publisher based in Collingwood, Melbourne. We are seeking an experienced editor or senior editor to work in-house alongside our small team across a range of illustrated books and gift titles including cookbooks, pop culture and humour titles, and gift products, such as card decks and games.

Working closely with the managing editor and publisher, the ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of editorial and project management experience working in a similar role on highly designed and illustrated lifestyle titles. The role will involve working with authors to manage books and gift products through the production process, from unedited manuscript to publication, including managing schedules, budgets and photoshoots, and writing design and illustration briefs. Part-time role (3 days/week). Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
