Smith Street Books is seeking an experienced editor or senior editor to join our creative team based in Fitzroy, Melbourne. The successful candidate will work across a range of illustrated cookbooks, lifestyle, art, fashion and pop culture books, as well as gift products, including card decks and games.

Working closely with the managing editor and publishers, the ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ editorial and project management experience working in a similar role on highly designed and illustrated titles. The role will involve working with authors to manage books and gift products through the production process, from unedited manuscript to publication, including managing schedules, budgets and photoshoots, and writing design and illustration briefs.
