Vale Tom Whitton

Jodie Dalglish, owner of Megalong Books, writes:

We are very sad to report that we have lost a member of our Megalong Books family. Tom Whitton has sadly passed away. Many of you know that Tom and his wife Wendy opened Megalong Books in 1987 and ran the shop for thirty years. They also published many local books with their publishing company Second Back Row Press. Tom, along with Wendy, was an active volunteer for many causes in the mountains including the Leura Village Association for close to 40 years. Lately, you would often see Tom, in all weather, looking after our beautiful gardens on Leura Mall with the Golies (garden). He will be missed.
