2024 Prix Voltaire shortlist announced

The International Publishers Association (IPA) has announced the 2024 shortlist for the Prix Voltaire.
This year’s shortlist, announced at the World Expression Forum, includes:
- Osman Kavala, Türkiye
- Dušan Gojkov, Balkan Literary Herald, Serbia
- Aslambek Ezhaev, Ummah Publishing, Russia
- Andrej Januskevic, Andrej Januskevic Publishing, Belarus
- Samir Mansour, Samir Mansour Bookshop for Printing and Publishing, Palestine.
The Prix Voltaire, honouring exceptional courage in upholding the freedom to publish, is awarded annually. This year’s winner, who will receive CHF10,000 (A$16,667), will be announced in December.
Last year’s winner was Iraqi publisher Mazin Lateef Ali, who has been missing since being abducted in 2020.
