Writers receive Arts Tasmania funding

Three writers have received grants in the 2024 round of Arts Tasmania’s individuals and groups 2024-25 funding program.

A total of $377,562 was awarded for 20 activities.

Recipients with book-related projects are:

  • Blake Nuto ($13,305) for the development and creation of a new picture book—A Pool of Tears
  • Keely Jobe ($15,660) to create a new novel
  • Leigh Rigozzi ($16,767) for the second draft of graphic novel.

The program supports individuals and groups to ‘undertake projects that enable them to further their careers, enrich their artistic practice and contribute to Tasmania’s arts sector’.
