McCaskill resigns from APA
Maree McCaskill has resigned as CEO of the Australian Publishers Association (APA) after more than seven years in the position. Her resignation is effective from 14 June 2013.
‘Under Maree’s leadership the APA has continued to serve the diverse needs and challenges of local trade and educational publishers,’ said the APA in a statement.
‘On behalf of the membership, the President of the APA, Louise Adler, thanked Maree for her years of service and her passionate advocacy of the vital cultural and significant economic contribution of Australian writers and their publishers to the general community.’
Adler told Books+Publishing that ‘Maree and the APA team have just delivered another great whole of industry event, the ABIA gala dinner, and this was the right time in the annual APA calendar [to make the announcement]’.
The APA board is in the process of selecting a replacement.
