Turia Pitt named ‘Cosmo’ Woman of the Year

Australian author Turia Pitt has been named Cosmopolitan magazine’s Woman of the Year, winning the overall prize in the magazine’s annual Fun Fearless Female Awards. Pitt, whose memoir Everything to Live For (William Heinemann) was published in September, also won the Author category, beating out nine other writers. Cosmopolitan said that more than 12,000 votes were cast for this year’s awards. To see the winners in the other categories, click here.
