Wakefield Press has appointed Simon Collinson as the publisher’s ‘geek in residence’ until September.
The role, which is part-funded by the Australia Council, will involve Collinson ‘developing ways to enhance Wakefield’s ebook production and marketing’, said the publisher.
Collinson said he was ‘keen to hear from everyone connected to Wakefield—readers, authors, reviewers, booksellers, all of you!—about how we can make our ebooks even better’.
One of Collinson’s first jobs is ‘to work on making epub format review copies available for reviewers, bloggers, and booksellers’.
