Writers Vic launches ‘Writers Book Club’
Writers Victoria has launched a new ‘professional development and networking opportunity’ for published writers, who will ‘use a newly released Australian novel as a starting point for facilitated conversation and peer learning’.
The Writers Book Club will run on the first Tuesday of every month, beginning in July, and will be hosted by Hardie Grant commissioning editor Rose Michael. ‘This is a unique opportunity for group members to not only discuss their own writing craft but debate contemporary issues in Australian editing and publishing,’ Michael told Books+Publishing.
The first book to be discussed will be Alexis Wright’s Miles Franklin shortlisted novel The Swan Book (Giramondo).
