Perth Writers Festival 2015 program launched
The 2015 Perth Writers Festival program has been launched and tickets are now on sale.
As previously reported by Books+Publishing, the line-up of international guests includes UK author Hilary Mantel (via video link), US author Elizabeth Gilbert and US lawyer Bryan Stevenson. Other international guests that have since been announced include Ireland-based author DBC Pierre, UK author Tom Rob Smith, UK-Canadian novelist Tom Rachman, Iranian-American novelist Porochista Khakpour, UK journalist and author John Lanchester and UK singer-songwriter Viv Albertine.
Former Greens leader Bob Brown will deliver the opening address. A total of 23 international and 70 Australian writers will be part of the festival, which runs from 19-22 February at the University of Western Australia.
The festival is also running a ‘Twitter Novella’ project, which involves 50 participating writers contributing two tweets each to build a novella that will appear online. The project begins on 13 February, with the final tweet to be released on the last day of the festival.
