Second annual Great Kiwi Classic poll launched

Nominations for the second annual Great Kiwi Classic poll have opened in New Zealand. First launched in 2014 by the New Zealand Book Council and Auckland Writers Festival, the initiative sees readers vote for their favourite book by a New Zealand author. After voting closes on 13 February, a panel considers the nominations before revealing the winner at the launch of the Auckland Writers Festival program on 17 March. The inauguaral Great Kiwi Classic was Keri Hulme’s 1984 Booker Prize-winning novel The Bone People (Picador). To nominate a book, visit the initiative’s Facebook page here.
