Reading Australia website relaunched, new content added

The Copyright Agency has relaunched its Reading Australia website with a new design and new content.

The website, which provides free resources for teachers to promote Australian literary works, now includes teaching resources for 81 books, up from the original 20, and 64 essays, up from 10.

The website also includes resources for junior primary titles for the first time, as well as 10 filmed interviews with authors, created in co-operation with ABC Splash. The authors are: David Malouf, Thomas Keneally, Gary Crew, Nadia Wheatley, Hannie Rayson, Michael Gow, Bronwyn Bancroft, Robert Adamson, Leigh Hobbs and David Williamson.

The website was officially launched by Malouf at the Australian Association for the Teaching of English and Australian Literacy Educators’ Association (AATE/ALEA) conference in Canberra.
