Carey on Man Booker shortlist, Tsiolkas misses out

Parrot and Olivier in America by Australian author Peter Carey (Penguin) has been shortlisted for the 2010 Man Booker Prize. However, The Slap by fellow Australian Christos Tsiolkas (A&U), which had also been longlisted for the prize, did not make it onto the shortlist, announced in London on Tuesday 7 September....
