Booktopia employee to represent Australia in London Games
Booktopia employee Anthony Alozie will be among approximately 400 athletes representing Australia at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, which kick off at the end of this week.
Alozie will compete as a member of the Australian men’s 4×100-metre relay team on 10 August.
Booktopia CEO Tony Nash told Bookseller+Publisher that Alozie joined Booktopia in May 2011 and works in the Booktopia distribution centre ‘when he is not competing and training’. Nash said that Booktopia is interested to hear from any other Australian athletes who work in the book industry.
Alozie has been a member of the Australian Athletics team for three years, after moving to Australia from Nigeria after the 2006 Commonwealth Games. More information about his journey to the London Games can be found online here.
