Ned Kelly 2012 shortlist announced

The shortlist for this year’s Ned Kelly Awards for crime writing has been announced.
The titles shortlisted in the full-length book categories are:
True crime
- Cold Case File (Liz Porter, Macmillan)
- Call Me Cruel (Michael Duffy, A&U)
- Sins of the Father (Eamonn Duff, A&U)
Best first fiction
- The Courier’s New Bicycle (Kim Westwood, Voyager)
- The Cartographer (Peter Twohig, Fourth Estate)
- When We Have Wings (Claire Corbett, A&U)
Best fiction
- The Life (Malcolm Knox, A&U)
- Chelsea Mansions (Barry Maitland, A&U)
- Pig Boy (J C Burke, Woolshed Press).
The stories shortlisted in the short-story category are yet to be announced.
The winners will be announced in Melbourne at the Toff in Town on 29 August during the Melbourne Writers Festival (MWF). See the MWF program for details.
