UK retailers are reporting strong demand for new ereading devices in the lead-up to Christmas, reports the Bookseller. Blackwell’s and Foyles, which both sell Barnes & Noble’s Nook devices, have both reported strong customer interest in the devices, with Blackwell’s picking out the recently released Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight as the most popular of the devices so far. At Waterstones, IT and ecommerce director Steve Monaghan said sales of Kindle devices showed ‘little sign of slowing down’, while some independent booksellers have recently started selling Kobo devices and have reported that they are pleased with the number of initial enquiries about the devices in store.
