Regional Media Forum

The Media Law Regional Forum in Bendigo is part of a series of professional development opportunities for regional media workers.

The forum is presented by the Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance and the Latrobe University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Sessions include information and workshops on new media and the law, and understanding media law.

Date: Saturday, 23 February 2013
Location: Latrobe University Visual Arts Centre, 1 View St, Bendigo
Cost: Media Alliance members $30; Others: $50.

Agenda:

• Session 1 (1pm-2.45pm): Media and the Law Speakers include:
  Dr Francine Rochford, Senior Lecturer Faculty of Business, Economics & Law, La Trobe Law School
  Louise Connor, MEAA Victorian Branch Secretary & experts from across the profession
• Afternoon tea (2:45pm–3:15pm)
• Session 2 (3:15pm–5pm)
  Norrie Ross–former senior court & law reporter (Herald Sun)
  Peter Gregory–former Supreme Court reporter (The Age) and lecturer in journalism (Monash University)
• Following the forum there will be a regional journalists’ dinner for all attendees. (6-9pm) Venue TBC. RSVP for dinner to Jenny Farrar.
