New Harry Potter story published on Pottermore

A new Harry Potter story published on the Pottermore website offers a glimpse into the lives of 30-something Harry Potter and his friends, reports the Bookseller. The 1500-word story was posted on the site as part of an ongoing series by J K Rowling about the 2014 Quidditch World Cup. Written from the perspective of gossip columnist Rita Skeeter, the story depicts an adult Harry reunited with Ron, Hermione and their friends at the final of the Quidditch World Cup. Harry is accompanied by his family and sports a mysterious scar over his cheekbone, which Skeeter speculates is due either to his wizard-apprehending career or an unknown domestic incident. To read the story, fans must sign up to the free Pottermore website. A spokesperson for Rowling said the author had ‘no plans’ to write any further stories about an adult Harry.
