MWF announces digital reporters, ‘geo-fiction’ app
The Melbourne Writers Festival (MWF) has announced its digital reporters for 2014.
With the support of the Emerging Writers’ Festival, each reporter will cover events at MWF and have access to participating writers. The reporters are: Lou Heinrich, Michelle Farran, Amanda Lee Koe, Joel Carnegie, Emma Marie Jones and Carissa Lee Godwin. Read more about the reporters here.
MWF has also unveiled an ‘interactive geo-fiction app’ called Twists and Turns.
The app is designed to be used with headphones while walking through the streets of inner-city Melbourne. It contains three choose-your-own-adventure stories written by MWF writers Nic Low, Leanne Hall and Liam Pieper, and narrated by Australian actors John Wood, Noni Hazlehurst, John Flaus and Richard Piper.
The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store from mid-August. Learn more about it on the MWF website here.
