Macmillan US makes frontlist ebooks available to libraries

Macmillan US is adding frontlist ebooks published in the previous 12 months to its public library elending project, reports DigitalBookWorld. The addition of frontlist titles increases the number of Macmillan ebooks available through the public library elending project to 15,000. Previously, 11,000 titles were available, including a collection of backlist titles added in October and Minotaur imprint titles added in March. Macmillan will continue to add frontlist titles on a weekly basis. The ebooks are accessible from libraries that use OverDrive, 3M, Baker & Taylor and Recorded Books, and are available under the elending terms of two years or 52 lends, whichever comes first. As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Pan Macmillan and Macmillan education ebooks are available to libraries in Australia and New Zealand through library suppliers such as ALS Library Services and Bolinda.
