‘The Lifted Brow’ to partner with ‘McSweeney’s’

Melbourne-based publisher and literary magazine The Lifted Brow (TLB) has announced plans to partner with US publisher McSweeney’s.

TLB publisher and editor-in-chief Sam Cooney told Books+Publishing that the two organisations ‘will be working on several different collaborative projects/publications in the coming future’ but ‘haven’t locked down exactly what and how yet’.

In a letter to subscribers, TLB said it was redesigning its print magazine into ‘an object that will at least try to match the quality of the work inside’, with funding from Arts Victoria and the Australia Council. The publisher said it was taking a ‘print hiatus’ during the redesign process, with the next print edition to publish in March 2015.
