Shortlist for ‘Seizure’ Viva La Novella competition announced

Literary journal Seizure has announced the shortlist for this year’s Viva La Novella competition.
The six shortlisted authors are:
- Mark Brandi
- Christy Collins
- Nick Gadd
- Jane Rawson
- Libby Sommer
- Marlee Jane Ward.
This year, three authors will be chosen to have their 20,000-50,000 word novella published in print and digital formats in May. The winners will also receive $1000 each.
As previously reported by Books+Publishing, the three editors chosen to edit a novella each are Marisa Wikramanayake, Nicola Redhouse and Zoya Patel.
The Viva La Novella project launched in 2013 with the publication of Midnight Blue and Endlessly Tall by Jane Jervis-Read. In 2014 four novellas were published. For more information about the project, visit the Seizure website here.
