Varuna announces shortlisted manuscripts for Publisher Introduction Program

Varuna, the Writers’ House, has announced the shortlisted manuscripts for its Publisher Introduction Program (PIP). Thirty-four manuscripts by emerging Australian writers have been sent to publishing partners Pan Macmillan, Random House, UQP, Scribe, Text and UWA Publishing, who will each select two writers to be awarded PIP fellowships. An additional two writers will be given wild card entries. The successful writers will each receive a one-week residency at Varuna, including consultation on their manuscript with one of Varuna’s writing consultants. Their manuscripts will then be submitted to the publisher who originally selected their work. To see a list of the shortlisted manuscripts, click here. The successful writers will be announced on 15 April. For more information about the program, click here.
