Nebula award nominees announced

In the US, the nominees for the 2014 Nebula Awards have been announced. Titles nominated in the Fiction category of the Nebula Awards are: The Goblin Emperor (Katherine Addison, Tor); Trial by Fire (Charles E Gannon, Baen); Ancillary Sword (Ann Leckie, Orbit); The Three-Body Problem (Cixin Liu, trans by Ken Liu, Tor); Coming Home (Jack McDevitt, Ace); and Annihilation (Jeff VanderMeer, Fourth Estate). The nominees for the Andre Norton Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy are: Unmade (Sarah Rees Brennan, Random House); Salvage (Alexandra Duncan, Greenwillow); Love Is the Drug (Alaya Dawn Johnson, Levine); Glory O’Brien’s History of the Future (A S King, Little, Brown); Dirty Wings (Sarah McCarry, St Martin’s Griffin); Greenglass House (Kate Milford, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt); and The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender (Leslye Walton, Walker Books). The awards are presented by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA). SFWA members can vote for the winners of the awards between 1-30 March, ahead of the winners’ announcement at the Nebula Awards Weekend on 4-7 June in Chicago, US.
