St Leger to leave the Copyright Agency

The Copyright Agency has announced that CEO Murray St Leger will leave the company in July.

St Leger, a former managing director of McGraw-Hill Australia and former president of the Australian Publishers Association, ‘is moving back to the United Kingdom for family reasons’, the Copyright Agency said in a statement. St Leger was appointed deputy CEO in 2013 and promoted to CEO in 2014.

The Copyright Agency chairman Sandy Grant described St Leger’s leadership as ‘innovative and highly professional’, singling out his work on LearningField and Reading Australia. ‘The Board sincerely appreciates Murray’s excellent contribution and deeply regrets losing his services,’ he said.

Grant said the board would begin recruitment for a new CEO.
