UK Publishers Association chief executive to step down

UK Publishers Association chief executive Richard Mollet has announced he will step down from his position in 2016, reports the Bookseller. Mollet, who has been the association’s chief executive for the past five years, will take on the role of head of European government affairs at information and analytics company RELX Group, formerly Reed Elsevier. Publishers Association president Joanna Prior said in a statement: ‘For the last five years Richard has steered the PA brilliantly; representing our interests in Brussels and Whitehall with great skill and diplomacy, using his excellent communication skills as a really effective spokesman and advocate for our industry and developing a strong senior management team under him.’ The Publishers Association is undertaking a search for Mollet’s replacement.
