National Book Critics Circle Awards 2015 finalists announced
In the US, the 2015 National Book Critics Circle Awards finalists have been announced. The finalists in the fiction category are: The Sellout (Paul Beatty, Farrar, Straus & Giroux), Fates and Furies (Lauren Groff, William Heinemann), The Story of My Teeth (Valeria Luiselli, Granta Books), The Tsar of Love and Techno (Anthony Marra, Hogarth Press) and Eileen (Ottessa Moshfegh, Jonathan Cape). Finalists were chosen in six categories: fiction, nonfiction, autobiography, biography, criticism and poetry. The John Leonard First Book Prize was awarded to Night at the Fiestas (Kirstin Valdez Quade, Norton) and the Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award went to Wendell Berry.
