Edgar Allan Poe Awards 2016 winners announced
In the US, the Mystery Writers of America has announced the winners of the 2016 Edgar Allan Poe Awards, which honour ‘the best in mystery fiction, nonfiction and television’ published or produced in 2015. Among the winners are: Let Me Die in His Footsteps (Lori Roy, Text) for Best Novel; The Sympathizer (Viet Thanh Nguyen, Piatkus Books) for Best First Novel; The Golden Age of Murder (Martin Edwards, HarperCollins) for Best Critical/Biographical; A Madness So Discreet (Mindy McGinnis, Katherine Tegen Books) for Best Young Adult; and Footer Davis Probably is Crazy (Susan Vaught, Paula Wiseman Books) for Best Juvenile. The Grand Master Award for achievement in mystery writing went to US crime writer Walter Mosley.
