Inaugural Australian Short Story Festival program launched
The program has been launched for the inaugural Australian Short Story Festival, which runs from 21-23 October in Perth.
Cate Kennedy will deliver the opening address and Kim Scott will give the closing address. In total, 30 WA and national writers will participate in the event, including Ryan O’Neill, Ellen van Neervan, Paddy O’Reilly, Fiona McFarlane and Isabelle Li. Indian writer and winner of the Commonwealth Short Story Prize Parashar Kulkarni is also a guest at the festival.
Host organisation, Perth’s Centre for Stories, is the main festival venue, with events also scheduled at the State Library of WA and Northbridge Piazza.
