OzCo announces leadership program participants

A number of literary arts workers have been selected for the 2017 Australia Council Leadership Programs.

Participants in the 2017 Future Leaders Program include Right Now magazine general manager Reiko Okazaki, the Lifted Brow publisher Sam Cooney and Brisbane Writers Festival general manager Tanya Cooling.

The program is designed for ‘emerging leaders with high potential’, and will run for six-to-nine months, starting with an intensive residential in April.

The State Library of Queensland’s manager of reading and writing, Kate Eltham, and SA Writers Centre director Sarah Tooth are among the 28 people selected for the Arts Leaders program, which brings together leaders across all art forms and runs over 15 months.

The Australia Council Leadership Programs provide a variety of development opportunities, with the aim of building the ‘resilience and sustainability of Australian arts leaders’.
