Flynn wins inaugural XO Romance Prize

Xoum Publishing has announced Jean Flynn as the winner of the inaugural XO Romance Prize for an unpublished manuscript, for her work Lovesick.

Guest judge Alexandra Nahlous called Lovesick ‘a witty and fun page-turner about a lovelorn medical receptionist seemingly destined to make bad choices’.

Flynn receives $5000 and a publishing contract with Xoum imprint XO Romance.

Flynn’s manuscript was chosen from a shortlist of four. Suzie Turner’s Worth Fighting For was named runner-up.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Xoum announced the XO Romance Prize in August to mark its new imprint.
