Nebula Awards 2016 nominees announced

In the US, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) has announced the nominees for the 2016 Nebula Awards, which are presented in 2017.
The books nominated in the novel category are:
- All the Birds in the Sky (Charlie Jane Anders, Titan)
- Borderline (Mishell Baker, S&S)
- The Obelisk Gate (N K Jemisin, Orbit)
- Ninefox Gambit (Yoon Ha Lee, Solaris)
- Everfair (Nisi Shawl, Tor).
The books nominated for the Andre Norton Award for young adult science fiction and fantasy are:
- The Girl Who Drank the Moon (Kelly Barnhill, Algonquin Young Readers)
- The Star-Touched Queen (Roshani Chokshi, Harlequin Teen)
- The Lie Tree (Frances Hardinge, Macmillan Children’s Books)
- Arabella of Mars (David D. Levine, Tor US)
- Railhead (Philip Reeve, OUP)
- Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies (Lindsay Ribarm, Penguin)
- The Evil Wizard Smallbone (Delia Sherman, Candlewick).
Nominees in four other categories were also announced. They included novella, novelette, short story and the Bradbury Award for outstanding dramatic presentation.
SWFA members can vote on the winners from 1 March. The awards will be presented at the annual Nebula conference, held from 18-21 May in Pittsburgh. To view the full list of nominees, click here.
