PEN announces award-winners at annual ceremony

PEN America has announced the winners of its major awards at its annual literary awards ceremony in New York on 27 March, reports Publishers Weekly.
The award-winners are:
PEN/Jean Stein Book Award for best book-length work
- Fathers, Sons and the Lands in Between (Hisham Matar, Viking)
PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the art of the essay
- The Girls in My Town (Angela Morales, University of Mexico Press)
PEN/Robert W Bingham Prize for debut fiction
- Insurrections (Rion Amilcar Scott, University Press of Kentucky).
The inaugural PEN/Nabokov Award for achievement in international literature went to Syrian poet Adonis for his body of work.
As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Pen America announced the winners of the majority of its awards in February.
