Echo Publishing has acquired world rights to Meg Keneally’s historical novel Fled in a two-book deal.
The novel, which is based on the life of convict Mary Bryant, will be published in September 2018.
Commissioning editor Angela Meyer said Keneally, who has co-written several books with her father Tom Keneally, ‘is an incredibly talented author in her own right—a great historical mind, socially conscious, and a beautiful writer’. ‘She’s a great fit for our fiction list at Echo—where we aim for engaging and compelling books for a range of audiences,’ said Meyer.
