Davitt Awards 2017 longlists announced
Sisters in Crime has announced the longlists for the 2017 Davitt Awards for the best crime books by Australian women.
A total of 99 titles have been longlisted, including 63 adult novels, 11 YA novels, 11 children’s novels and 14 nonfiction books. To see the longlists in each category, click here.
This year’s judging panel comprises Sisters in Crime national co-convenor Michaela Lobb; former convenors Jacqui Horwood, Maggie Baron and Sylvia Loader; forensic specialist Debbie Stephen; and bookseller and writer Deborah Crabtree.
The shortlists will be announced in July and the winners will be announced at an event in Melbourne in August/September. Winners will also be announced for two additional categories: best debut book and readers’ choice, which is voted by the members of Sisters in Crime Australia.
