Line-up announced for third St Albans Writers’ Festival

The line-up has been announced for the third St Albans Writers’ Festival, which runs from 8-10 September in the village of St Albans in NSW.

Journalist Tony Jones will deliver the opening address on the festival’s theme ‘escape and explore’, and director George Miller will introduce his film Mad Max: Fury Road at a screening on the second night.

Authors participating in the festival include Stan Grant, Fiona McFarlane, Melina Marchetta, Tom Keneally, Hugh Mackay, Jane Caro, Caroline Baum, Susan Wyndham and Nikki Gemmell.

Artistic director Catherine du Peloux Menage said festival-goers will ‘bump into authors wandering around the precinct, having a drink at the pub and sitting around the fire’. The festival will include informal round-table ‘Meet the Author’ sessions, as well as a three-course ‘Dinner with the Writers’.
