We Need Diverse Books launches Our Story app to help discoverability

US advocacy group We Need Diverse Books has launched OurStory, an app to help readers discover diverse books, at the 2017 American Library Association annual conference in Chicago.
The app has free versions for kids (aged 12 and under) and teens (aged 13 and up), and a paid version for educators and librarians.
Users can search for books by and about people of colour, LGBTQIA+ people, Native people, gender diversity, people with disabilities, and ethnic and religious minorities.
The app is available on internet browsers, with apps for phones and operating systems planned for later this year. For more information, click here.
