Booktopia named finalist in Telstra Business Awards

Online bookseller Booktopia has been named a finalist in the Telstra Business Awards in the medium-sized category for New South Wales.

The company has entered the awards six times and has been named a finalist on each occasion. It won the category in 2014.

Booktopia CEO Tony Nash said the awards are ‘the most prestigious business award to win in Australia’, and involve ‘an extremely rigorous entry process’. ‘You generally have to spend a few days preparing your responses. In doing so, you are given the opportunity to analyse your business, articulate your message and look at any areas that may need improvement,’ said Nash.

Nash said the company’s A/B testing of its website showed that ‘when the Telstra Business Awards finalist logo was on the top of every web page it received two percent more sales from every visitor rather than when it was removed’.
