Harry Hartog to open eighth store in East Maitland

Independent bookselling chain Harry Hartog will open a new store at Stockland Green Hills shopping centre in East Maitland in New South Wales.

Harry Hartog Green Hills will be managed by Josh Croft, who previously worked as a team leader at Harry Hartog Kotara in Newcastle, and former Kotara bookseller Emily Roberts will be the store’s assistant manager.

The shop will open on 30 November in a newly developed section of the Stockland Green Hills shopping centre.

Berkelouw Books director David Berkelouw said the new store, which will include a children’s section, will be ‘closely aligned to the interests of the community’ and will ‘focus on connecting to all groups in that community’.

The Green Hills store will be the chain’s eighth outlet after it launched new stores in Warringah, Narellan, Westfield Miranda and Macquarie Centre in 2016.
