Colpoys wins British Book Design Award

The Animators by Kayla Rae Whitaker, designed by Scribe associate art director Allison Colpoys, has won the Best Jacket/Cover Design category at the British Book Design and Production Awards.

Colpoys designed the cover of the book, while production manager Mick Pilkington also worked on the book.

The Animators was chosen from 105 entries. It was praised for its ‘aggressively colourful colour’, ‘wonderful endpapers’ and ‘retro use of hand lettering’.

Scribe said in a statement: ‘It’s fantastic to see the careful work of Scribe’s design and production team, under the expert guidance of art director Miriam Rosenbloom, being recognised on the world stage.’
