Hardie Grant moves distribution to HEDS
Hardie Grant Publishing is moving to Harper Entertainment Distribution Services (HEDS) for it distribution in Australia and New Zealand.
The new deal will commence on 1 July. Orders for new releases and backlist titles will continue to be sent to Hardie Grant’s current distributor, United Book Distributors, until 29 June.
In a prepared statement, Hardie Grant said it would like to ‘thank United Book Distributors (UBD) for their distribution service over the last 12 years’.
UBD will stop issuing Returns Authorisations (RAs) on 29 June. The company will process returns for all RAs issued by UBD until 27 September, for returns received no later than 31 August.
Sales representation of Hardie Grant titles in New Zealand, other than Hardie Grant Travel titles, will be performed by HarperCollins from 1 July. Hardie Grant Travel titles will continue to be represented by Bookreps.
