Kostakis nominated for Lammy award

YA author Will Kostakis has been announced as a finalist in the 30th annual Lambda Literary Awards—known as the ‘Lammys’—for his book The Sidekicks (Penguin).

The Lammys celebrate achievement in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) writing, and are open to books published in the previous calendar year. The Sidekicks, nominated in the children’s/young adult category, tells the story of three very different young people bound together in their grief after losing their best friend.

Finalists for this year’s Lammys were announced on 6 March by the Lambda Literary Foundation. Winners will be announced on 4 June in New York City.
