Booktopia wins ORIA for best online retailer

Online bookseller Booktopia was awarded a 2018 Online Retail Industry Award (ORIA) in the Best Pureplay Online Retailer category at an awards ceremony in Sydney on 26 July.

Booktopia has been a finalist in this category—which recognises businesses that are purely selling online and have no physical shops—each year since 2013. The other finalists in the category this year were Catch, GlamCorner, HelloFresh, Tinyme and Vinomofo.

‘For a bookstore to be considered the best in the land across all retail sectors is great recognition for the book industry and readers of Australia,’ said Booktopia CEO Tony Nash.

Nash was also awarded the 2018 Industry Recognition Award, after being nominated for five years.
