Editors NSW: Thesis editing workshop
Editors NSW is running a workshop for people with little or no experience of thesis editing who wish to explore what is involved. It is also suitable for editors who wish to improve their practices. The workshop will focus on doctoral and masters theses, including discussion of the ‘thesis by publication’ model.
The workshop covers: preparing a comprehensive quote; managing schedules, file versions and communication; interacting with the thesis supervisor; understanding the components of a thesis; applying academic referencing conventions; dealing with common writing problems; and managing the ethical dimensions.
