Harlequin launches website to promote romance titles

Harlequin has launched the website romance.com.au to promote romance titles to readers.

The website features 23,000 titles from Harlequin imprints including Avon, Escape, Mira, and Mills & Boon, across a range of sub-genres including historical, paranormal, LGBTQI, erotic, time travel, contemporary, suspense, new adult and rural romance. The books are linked to online retail platforms where they can be purchased.

The website features quizzes, prize giveaways and Buzzfeed-style listicles, as well as a weekly newsletter that links to news and ebook deals.

According to Harlequin, research showed that sites that provide ebook deals, such as BookBub, can be important for book discovery for readers. Harlequin head of digital and marketing communications Adam van Rooijen said in a statement that the weekly ebook deals newsletter is a ‘great way to connect’ readers, authors and the romance community.
